Amy's Tips on How To Take Charge Of Your Life:
-
Amy takes a walk every morning because she believes this is critical to living a long, healthy life. She says, "luckily this is a habit that I cannot forgo as I have a rescue pup who also relies on these walks. This is a time I use to chat with my husband (or walk quietly and reflect) and to mentally prepare for the day. We walk anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes regardless of the weather (and in Canada sometime that means in -20 C and snowstorms)."
-
Remind yourself why you started in the first place is Amy's top advice on staying committed to personal and professional goals. "When I'm facing challenges or hardships I try to connect to that reason and take action (big or small) that'll help me move forward. When it comes to getting things done, I find to-do lists to be very helpful. I'll add big and small items, and sometimes I'll tackle the small ones first just to build momentum and courage to take on the bigger, trickier items. Crossing items off the list is very motivating and keeps you committed to your goals."
-
Feeling fear, experiencing doubt, sitting in stress? This is what Amy recommends: "Be scared, realize that's normal, and do it anyway. Things that terrify you the most are the biggest catalysts for personal growth."
-
Meal planning is key for achieving peak physical condition that is sustainable and healthy. Despite busy schedules, Amy and her husband and commit time each week to batch cooking. "Having pre-made meals, snacks, chopped veggies, fresh fruits, and nuts/seeds in the fridge during the workweek saves money and time, ensures that we're eating well, and takes away the stress of wondering what to eat."
-
When we asked Amy about monetization she responded: "Be yourself. If you're passionate about what you're doing and sharing the things you truly love, people will take notice and will want to be part of your journey."
