Whitney first met Robby in 2011 while they were both working for Forks Over Knives. They also share the mutual friend Robert Cheeke, who is part of the Take Charge! series. Robby brings a wealth of experience in holistic nutrition and diabetes management to support people in achieving optimal health around the world.
This interview series felt like the perfect time opportunity to receive Robby's perspective on topics like daily health choices, accountability, handling stress, nutrition's impact on physical appearance and monetizing from the heart. We gave him a few prompts and he had some excellent tips that we're grateful to share with you.
Robby's Tips on How To Take Charge Of Your Life:
Daily movement is essential to living a long, healthy life. Robby says, "At a bare minimum, I walk every day. It's simple, but it has a large impact on your health."
Accountability is the key to following through on goals. Robby's advice is, "Tell someone you respect that you are going to do something and ask them to hold you accountable. It can change your life."
During times of doubt, stress, fear or negativity, here's what Robby recommends: "Think about how small we really are. Google 'The Observable Universe (accurately scaled zoom out from Earth)' and watch the entire video for 3+ minutes. [Life] is all just a game on a very small scale. Just have fun with it."
To achieve peak physical condition, Robby encourages you to eat more whole foods that are unprocessed, such as fruits, starchy vegetables, legumes, intact whole grains, leafy greens, non-starchy vegetables, herbs and spices, and mushrooms.
When we asked Robby about monetization he responded: "Share from your heart because you genuinely want to help people and you believe in what you are saying 100%. The money will follow."
- Home is where the heart is for Robby, so he doesn't travel often. He says, "I go to business events that serve our overall purpose. Other than that, I like to stay home in Santa Monica because I love it here."
